Chapter 2 — Resources
Three islands. Work, Money, Time. The means archipelago. Each one is an instrument that compounds when stewarded and corrodes when hoarded.
The play test on every hole here is the same question with three faces: am I the master of this — or has this become my master?
Hole 4 — Work

| Foursome | The Engineer — discipline against your dreams. |
| Truth deposited | Vocation is not what you do. It is what would still be worth doing if no one paid for it. |
Hole 5 — Money

| Foursome | The Realist — keeps the maths honest. |
| Truth deposited | Money is a tokenisation of past goodwill. Spend it like that and it lasts. |
Hole 6 — Time

| Agency type | Temporal agency. The protection layer for everything else. |

| Foursome | The Coach — protects the calendar from the urgent-but-not-important. |
| Truth deposited | Time you cannot recover. Money you can. Confusing the two is the most expensive trade most people ever make. |
Island Connections

The order matters. Work that does not generate money creates a slow leak on time. Money chased without time-protection makes the work meaningless. Time hoarded without work or money to deploy it becomes a different kind of poverty.
Push vs Glide
Work hole rewards force — deliberate practice, reps, refusal to coast. Money hole rewards restraint — most of the swing is what you decide not to buy. Time hole rewards flow — the calendar held with discipline so the deep work has somewhere to land.
Course-Card Risk
This archipelago is where the course card is most often forged. People claim stewardship while running an extraction loop — work they hate to fund money they hoard to buy time they kill scrolling. All three play-card scores can look fine and the course card still reads zero. The VVFL test: did the loop compound for someone other than you?
