Benefit Ledger

Measure the proof loop before making ROI claims.

The first benefit is less senior judgement wasted on incomplete technical context.

§1

Cashflow Formula

Monthly net value equals RFQs per month multiplied by prep hours reduced and senior hourly cost, plus extra won jobs multiplied by gross profit per job, minus monthly system cost. Every variable must be measured in week 1.

§2

Direct Benefits

Benefits to measure

  • Senior hours saved from quote-prep work.
  • RFQ completeness improvement.
  • Estimator review speed.
  • Bad-fit quote effort avoided.
  • Good-fit conversion uplift.
  • QA and certification issues found before quote commitment.
§3

Evidence Fields

Week 1 baseline

  • RFQs per month.
  • Median quote turnaround time.
  • Average quote-prep time.
  • Quote win rate.
  • Gross profit per won job by job type.
  • Percentage of RFQs missing drawing, material, tolerance, quantity, finish, or date.
§4

Decision Rule

Proceed past 30 days only if the system improves RFQ completeness and estimator review speed. Revenue uplift is a second-order measure. Quote readiness is the first gate.
