Run the business as a decision loop
Every business is a decision factory. Time and energy are your scarcest assets. Strategy chooses which future to pursue. Implementation turns that choice into coordinated decisions and action. Evidence improves what the business chooses and does next.
Purpose → Strategy → Decisions → Capabilities → Action → Evidence → Standards
AI can extend capability; purpose, consent, consequential judgment, accepted risk, and stop authority remain human.
Routes
Enter where the business is blocked. Each route states its distinct job and returns to this loop.
- Direction is unclear. Choose the strategic path worth testing.
- Direction exists but ownership or trade-offs are unclear. Turn strategy into an owned decision.
- The decision is clear but something cannot yet be done reliably. Find the missing capability. If the gap may need software to choose or sequence work, check whether an agent is useful before adding autonomy. This is an optional technology branch, not another business stage; the beneficiary, human authority, protected constraints, and evidence rule carry forward.
- The capability is ready for contact with reality. Make one bounded move.
- Something happened and the next choice is waiting. Separate evidence from interpretation.
- A supported lesson should become reusable. Raise the baseline carefully.
Start
A good intention is a picture—a movie in your mind of a future worth making real. Write one live decision that could bring that picture closer. Name who should benefit and what must not be traded away.
Decide
Use this check before action. If you cannot tick an item, that is the current gap; narrow the move until a named human can own the unresolved judgment.
Checks stay in this browser.
Prompt
If the gap is still hard to name, use the existing coach for a first read. Do not paste names, confidential facts, protected data, or anything you are not authorised to share. Its output is a proposal for human judgment, not a decision.

Find the smallest decision worth making now
Turn an unclear situation into one bounded choice, its evidence boundary, and a review point.
Open the Value Decision Coach
Copy this into an AI assistant only after removing names, confidential facts, and sensitive context.
Act as a decision coach. Help me clarify one live decision without choosing my purpose or accepting risk for me. Ask one question at a time until we can state: 1. the valued future and beneficiary; 2. the present observation, separate from interpretation and prediction; 3. the smallest consequential choice; 4. the named human who approves it and may stop it; 5. one protected constraint and one reversible bound; 6. the evidence the move should return; 7. the review point for continue, revise, or stop. Flag assumptions and missing evidence. Do not recommend execution while authority, consent, or the stop condition is unclear.
Private guided workspace — planned. This page does not capture or transmit your answers; the checklist stays in this browser when storage is available.
Continue
Attention brings that possibility into the here and now. Make only the move you are authorised to make, then retain the observation, outcome, exception, and affected person's response.
- Use Action to make the smallest responsible move.
- Return through Evidence before raising the standard.
- Continue when evidence supports the direction, revise when the model or bound was wrong, and stop when value, authority, or protected constraints fail.
Depth
Explore the full Playbook atlas
Use the atlas when the live gap spans more than one capability. It is reference depth, not a required sequence.
