What makes a person, team, or agent able to choose and move reality?

Agency is the capacity to choose and act toward valued change, under real constraints, with feedback from consequences.

The Tight Five operating model is Options -> Intention -> Capability -> Action -> Proof. Keep all five visible. Do not reduce agency to motivation, capability, or credibility alone.

The Spine

  • Foundations - Options: real alternatives require ground, access, and constraints removed.
  • Intentions - Intention: the valued outcome must be named before action.
  • Capabilities - Capability: skill, character, instruments, and resources make action possible.
  • Navigation - Action: decisions become coordinated movement under constraint.
  • Credibility - Proof: consequences become visible enough to learn from.

Classic agency literature points to the same shape: action capacity, intention, forethought, self-reaction, self-reflection, structural constraint, social mediation, and valued goals all matter. This hub compresses that into one route.

Measure agency with a dashboard, not one score: perceived agency, practical agency, execution agency, learning agency, and social agency. Credibility is the proof lens inside that dashboard, and Reality is where performance becomes visible.
