Outcome

A preferred future describes who should experience what observable improvement and what must remain protected.

Why It Matters

A vivid output is not a valuable direction. Without a beneficiary and constraints, energy can gather around the wrong future.

Use When

Use this before improving an existing organisation or testing a venture. Do not begin when the decision owner is absent.

Inputs

Bring the present situation, affected people, human decision owner, protected constraints, and important unknowns. Mark missing facts unknown.

Recipe

1. Name the beneficiary and present situation.
2. Describe the observable change worth creating.
3. Name what must remain protected.
4. Separate observations, assumptions, and hopes.
5. Set a review point and the evidence that could change direction.

Human and AI Control

AI may question, compare, and compress. The human owner chooses what is good, accepts consequences, and may stop.

Output and Handoff

Produce a one-page vision: beneficiary, present state, preferred future, constraints, owner, uncertainty, gauge, review, and stop condition.

Evidence, Transfer, and Stop

This recipe is untested. Test transfer when another person can use the vision to identify the same next unresolved job without the author present. Stop on unresolved consent or authority.
