Which combination of people, practice, environment, evidence, and tools will help support fade?
An education platform should help a learner progress from supported practice to independent action, transfer, and beneficiary value. Purpose governs tool choice.
Technology is one part of that platform. A capable teacher, a safe peer, a quiet hour, a workshop, a book, or direct beneficiary feedback may be the binding support.

Choose the smallest platform that enables the next reachable action. More technology can add cost, distraction, surveillance, dependency, or false confidence.
AI As Scaffold
AI may:
- explain a concept in several ways;
- generate practice variations;
- simulate cases or counterparties;
- offer feedback and alternatives;
- help plan or reflect;
- make accessibility adaptations; and
- assist creation or coordination.
Human authority still decides the beneficiary, values, consent, wellbeing guardrail, acceptable risk, and stop condition. Learners must understand or verify consequential claims and decisions.
Test AI-supported learning through:
unaided → assisted → verified → independent → second context
If support never fades, measure the result as assisted performance, not independent capability.

Before adopting any education technology, ask:
- Which learner and beneficiary does it serve?
- Which capability does it help develop?
- What evidence supports that mechanism, for which population and context?
- What is the strongest counterclaim?
- What remains human-authorised?
- What must the learner understand or verify?
- How will support fade?
- How will transfer and beneficiary value be demonstrated?
- What data, consent, accessibility, dependency, and wellbeing risks arise?
- What observation would make us adapt or stop?
Blockchain, tokens, decentralised infrastructure, credentials, and portfolios may be useful in specific contexts. They are not assumed requirements and need the same evidence, counterclaim, beneficiary, and falsifier discipline as any other tool.

Failure Modes
- Starting with technology instead of the learner, beneficiary, and capability.
