Strategy is business work: deciding where to play, how to create distinctive value, what not to pursue, and which commitment should happen next. Start with the decision that is currently blocking coordinated action.

Routes

• Choose a strategic path — select a beneficiary, valuable change, position, trade-off, and assumption worth testing.

• Make a strategic decision — turn an accepted direction into one owned choice with explicit alternatives, authority, bounds, and a review point.

• Preregister a bounded experiment — turn one intention into the smallest reversible experiment that can change a named decision.

These are related jobs, not a mandatory sequence. Enter at the decision you actually need to make. Each job must return its evidence to the accountable business owner; a documented choice is not proof that the strategy will work.
