Agentic Protocols

Protocols are basic sets of rules that allow data to be shared between computers. Communicating worldwide is possible due to fixed standards that govern the way information is communicated as well as the way our devices treat those data.

Standard Protocols are essential for enabling agentic interoperability, particularly in connecting agents to external systems, Agents (Yin - Intention) and Tools (Yang - Action).

Agents and Tools

Tools are primitives with structured inputs and outputs and (typically) deterministic behavior.

Agents are autonomous applications that can accomplish novel tasks by using tools, reasoning, and user interactions. Agentic applications must use both tools and agents to accomplish goals for their users.
