  5. Focus on giving value, not just receiving. Look for ways you can help others in your network.
  6. Be proactive in reaching out. Attend industry events, join professional organizations like IDA, and set up coffee meetings with new contacts.
  7. Follow up promptly after making new connections. Send a personalized message within 48 hours.
  8. Aim to have at least 2 networking meetings per month with people outside your immediate circle. Morning coffee meetings can be a great option.
  9. Don't be afraid to ask questions and request help from your network. Danes appreciate when you seek their expertise.
  10. Practice your networking skills regularly to get more comfortable. Set small goals like talking to 3 new people at each event.
  11. Be authentic in your interactions and focus on building genuine relationships, not just transactional networking.
  12. Follow up consistently to nurture connections over time. Share relevant articles, check in periodically, and look for opportunities to reconnect.
