Fulfilment Problems

What are the biggest problems that people face in living a life of fulfilment?

Mental Health

Mental health issues are on the rise due to lack of trust in systems that influence our lives.

There is a need for individuals to take responsibility for their inner well-being, develop self-awareness, and cultivate a joyful existence independent of external circumstances. He also stresses the importance of addressing environmental issues, particularly soil health, to ensure the long-term well-being of humanity and the planet.

Awareness

  • Lack of consciousness in how we manage our thoughts, emotions, and internal state
  • Treating soil as a resource rather than a source of life, leading to nutrient depletion
  • Disconnection from our inner selves and over-identification with external factors

What can be done:

  • Practice "Inner Engineering" to gain better control over our internal state
  • Invest time in understanding ourselves (21 minutes of daily practice suggested)
  • Shift focus from external achievements to inner well-being

Intellectualism

Overemphasis on intellectual intelligence and neglect of other forms of intelligence

  • European influence on education systems globally
  • Dogmatic religious beliefs historically suppressing free thinking

What can be done:

  • Recognize and develop multiple dimensions of intelligence beyond just intellect
  • Create a society that values inner growth and self-awareness

Biodiversity

Soil degradation and loss of biodiversity

  • Industrial agriculture treating soil as a resource rather than a living system
  • Loss of microbial life in soil

What can be done:

  • Launch campaigns like "Save Soil" to raise awareness
  • Change agricultural practices to preserve soil health and biodiversity

Lack of Purpose

Misunderstanding of life's purpose and meaning

  • Seeking external validation and purpose instead of inner fulfilment
  • Societal pressure to have a defined purpose or mission

What can be done:

  • Focus on the profoundness of life rather than searching for external meaning
  • Cultivate joy and blissfulness from within rather than relying on external circumstances

Tech Fear

Fear of technological advancements and impact on sense of belonging and self-worth.

  • Concern about job loss and human relevance
  • Fear of machines making critical decisions

What can be done:

  • Embrace technological advancements as opportunities for human liberation from mundane tasks
  • Focus on developing uniquely human qualities and experiences

Loneliness

Loneliness is a killer.

Post COVID more people spending more time alone.

Lack of Focus

The technology that connects also uses outrage to divide and controls us.

Mislead engineers have gamified attention for profits by becoming driven by their egos.

Rehabilitation

How successful are rehabilitation processes in reality?

  • How large is the potential social and economic reward?
  • How can trust be built into the rehabilitation process?
  • What is the cost of constant reoffending?

Addiction Treatment:

The real problem is not drugs as much as the people that are prone to addiction.

Current system promotes gangs and violence and fails people that are vulnerable to addiction.

Howzme Culture

Howzme instead of Howzus. Most kids aspire to be influencers, not teachers or doctors.

We are all born to be influencers. But we don't need social media for validation.

Howzme culture with singular and selfish focus on showing off over the reward on working in a team to achieve a collective goal.

Life is better surrounded by good people.

Relationships

Dating apps mean people that might connect in real life don't.

Not having enough children to support an aging population. But will AI counterbalance this?
