Product Engineer

Driven obsession to create amazing experiences for people that quantifiably improve their world position.

The person who typically controls the vision for a company's product would be the Chief Product Officer (CPO). The CPO is responsible for the development and execution of the company's product strategy, including the design, development, and launch of new products, as well as the improvement of existing ones.

However, it's important to note that in some companies, the CEO or the founder may have a strong influence on the product vision and strategy, and may work closely with the CPO to develop and execute it. Additionally, in smaller companies or startups, the responsibility for product vision and strategy may fall on the founder or CEO themselves.

Writing Code

Code is a means to an end — and that end is creating value. If you can achieve a goal without writing code, that is the best solution! Benefits of not writing code:

  • less work to write functional code
  • less code and complexity to maintain
  • more time to create value elsewhere

An engineer that just does what it takes to make something work then finishes with no thought to improve the situation for the next person is not a team player and of little value in the long run, no matter how personally talented they are.
